The ungodly time of 11am, was when I rang the doorbell of the house in Peckham/Nunhead. It was down a residential street in the middle of an estate, but not too bad an area. The rent was very cheap indeed at £310 - £325 per month plus bills.
The guys that lived there seemed pretty chilled - a journalist who I met, and a photographer who was out working. The room was a decent size, although a little rough around the edges, and the living room was also nice and large. I didn't take to the bathroom very much, which was attached to the kitchen, and a long voyage from the bedroom upstairs.
It was pretty good, but I wasn't too sure about the location and the long distance to the bathroom. On the plus side, it was really good value, it was available on a first-come first-serve basis, and the guy I met living there seemed easy to get on with.
I took time for reflection in the streets of Peckham, and made my decision - do nothing for a while. It was pretty close between this place and the place I saw on Monday, so I decided to wait and see what happened.
