| Erith Station
The walk started at Erith Station.
 | Erith Station Sign
Erith is in zone six, and reached by train from London Bridge. It's weird.
 | View of the Thames
The Thames is very muddy at Erith, and has a bunch of boats floating around doing nothing.
 |

    | Danger!
If you go on the mud, you might DIE!
 | Trolley and Cone
A trolley and a cone sink isolated and lonely into the Erith Thames side mud.
 | Boat parked at Erith

 |

    | The pier to no-where

 | The Cross Keys Pub - Erith
We finally left the river for the delights of Erith central. As I said, it's weird.
 | Lots of blue ladder things
The walk along the Thames went past lots of industrial stuff. I don't know what these things are called, but they are very useful for reaching high things.
 |

    | A Barge

 | Car Scrapyard
Some people may not like this kind of stuff, but I think it adds a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to the walk.
 | More Cars

 |

    | Flood Barrier at the River Darent
We left the Thames and continued down another river.
 | Horse
We were really in the countryside now - they even had horses (but they were quite small)
 | Queen Elizabeth Bridge
Otherwsie known as the Dartford Crossing, this bridge connects the North and South parts of the M25
 |

    | The tree who stands alone

 | Tom wants to know the way

 | The River Cray
Not content with 2 rivers, we move to a third - the mighty River Cray.
 |

    | Bridge over the River Cray
 Not a famous film.
 | Hall Place Gardens
Passing through the lively metropolis of Crayford, we continued on, and stumbled across Hall Place Gardens
 | Flowers
Hall Place Gardens had lots of cool flowers in it.
 |

    | The Hall
The hall is half brick-half stone. What a cool idea.
 | The Gardens
The lawn was dead well mowed, but the hedge-cutting left a little to be desired.
 | Topiary
These hedges are supposed to be animals.
 |

 | Beautiful Flowers

 | More Beautiful Flowers

 |

    | Purple Majesty

 | Reddy-Pink Majesty

 | Tom also likes flowers

 |

    | A tree of unparrallelled majesty

 | Graffitti in Underpass
We finally left the park, and entered a small underpass. I really dig the urban decay
 | Teddy Bear
One of the better graffiiti efforts. No mindless scrawling here.
 |

    | More urban decay

 | St. Mary the Virgin
This church is in the town of Bexley, our destination on this walk.
 | It's a sign

 |

    | Bexley Station
We have arrived, and it took us only 3.5 hours.
 | Bexley Station
Bexley station has quite a nice station building
