Walking the London Loop Stage 6
Banstead Downs - Kingston
Date: August 20th 2006
Walkers: Myself and Tom
Weather: quite warm, but very cloudy and overcast. Big grey rain clouds all day, but only a small spot of rain.
Walk Departure Time: 12.35pm
Walk Finishing Time: 6.20pm
Walk Distance: 11.75 miles
Part six of the Loop was quite heavy on suburban walking, and according to the guidebook - 'necessary at present because landowners have not been prepared to make a greener route available'. Highlights were Nonsuch Park, Bourne Hall Park, and following the River Hogsmill until we arrived in Kingston. Kingston was a very pleasant place, set on the banks of the mighty Thames.
