Walking the London Loop Stage 15
Harold Wood - Purfleet

Date: August 15th 2010
Walkers: Myself and Tom
Weather: cloudy and overcast, strong winds, low 20s
Walk Departure Time: 9.45am
Walk Finishing Time: 5.10pm
Walk Distance: 13 miles

Part fifteen of the loop was a little industrial, and a fair stretch of it was on roads. Highlights were Hornchurch Country Park, the odd field around the River Ingrebourne, abandoned World War 2 concrete barges, and Purfleet RSPB visitor centre. Lowlights were heavy industry and the smelly landfill site on the river (quite interesting though)
