Walking the Capital Ring Stage 13
Hackney Wick - Woolwich

Date: October 27th 2007
Walkers: Myself and Catheryn
Weather: dark and very overcast - but quite mild.
Walk Departure Time: 2.00pm
Walk Finishing Time: 6.10pm
Walk Distance: 8.3 miles

Part thirteen of the ring was the final straight - 2 sections in one, and through the Woolwich foot tunnel to finish. A lot of it was on the Greenway, which was a little boring and smelt of sewage, but there were a few nice bits. Highlights were seeing the Olympic area being built, Beckton District Park, and a good view of City Airport (this was on the deviation - as part of the riverside was closed). It was also quite exciting to finish the Ring!!!!
